How does Energy Gum work?

Each piece of Energy Gum contains 50mg of caffeine (and B vitamins) which is released from the gum as you chew. The caffeine and vitamins are absorbed through your saliva and gums. This bypasses your digestion system meaning that these active ingredients enter your bloodstream much more quickly than digestible caffeine pills, drinks, or foods.

How many Energy Gums should I take?

We recommend not exceeding 4 pieces of Energy Gum per day. Remember, one piece of Energy Gum contains 50mg of caffeine, which is approximately the same amount as one espresso.

When should I take Energy Gum before I want to feel the effects?

Since the caffeine in Energy Gum is absorbed via your gums and saliva, rather than through your digestion system, it usually only takes 5 minutes to feel the effects. Caffeine will stay in your body for several hours.

Can I take Energy Gum with other caffeinated products?

Yes, you can take Energy Gum alongside other caffeinated products. Just make sure that you aware of the total amount of caffeine that you have taken in one day and do not exceed recommended limits. General guidance is that a healthy adult should not take more than 400 mg of caffeine per day, but the appropriate limit will vary from person to person

Why does Energy Gum taste different to other mint flavoured gums?

The natural taste of caffeine is very bitter and would be quite unpleasant to taste without our delicious peppermint oil! However, the result is a different mint taste to traditional chewing gums which some people might find a bit strange initially. That said, many of our customers end up preferring our Energy Gum flavour, including us!
